Making use of their great location backing on to Nail Can Hill reserve, the clients decided on a major renovation of their home and came to us with their own design.
This was truly a major project; the home was stripped to a bare shell with only the external skeleton of the home left standing. By extending the floor area on ground level and adding a second storey we more than doubled the size of the original home – this was definitely our largest reno to date!
The ground level consists of a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area including a walk-in pantry, 3 full sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large functional laundry. The added upstairs is accessed by a timber staircase and is the ideal parents’ retreat. This consists of the fourth bedroom, a large full-sized bathroom with attached walk-in wardrobe, sitting room and external balcony accessible from the bedroom.
Everything was done on a grand scale and the outcome has created 2 separate living spaces for the family to enjoy.

When we were looking at doing own home renovations, we wanted to support a local (non-franchise) business and seeing the amazing work that DJ and the team were doing at the Albury Cinema, we started talks with DJ about how he could help us in fulfilling my dream home.
What we thought would be a home renovation actually became a rebuild, due to the extent of what I wanted our home to look like. This was not an issue for DJ and the team. I remember what often DJ would say to me If that’s what you want, we will make it happen. And He and his team did make it happen. None of our request where an issue for them (if they were, they never showed it or told me, they just made our requests happen).

Sometimes things are meant to be and happen to for a reason. Our original bathroom tile became unavailable right before tiler was ready to lay them. This could have been a very stressful and upsetting situation (which could have held up the rest of the process), but after Chatting with DJ. He was like “we will get this sorted Deb, not a problem” and within 8hr he had sourced a new tile for us, which turned out to be even better than the original.

When our Dream home came to completion, we were so excited. Although it was bitter sweet, we were excited to finally be able to come home and enjoy all the hard work that went into it, but we were a little sad because DJ and his team had become friends and we would not be seeing them every day.
