This architecturally designed home was built on a block size of only 258.5m2 in central Albury, so the best way to go was up! Built for a farming family that needed a place to call home in Albury, this was a challenging but very rewarding project with the home resulting in 264.0m2 of living space.

Being central Albury, we were very mindful of traffic flow, both pedestrian and vehicles. Deliveries were smaller and more frequent as space was something that had to be monitored constantly. The home was completely built on site, no prefab framing here! Using old school techniques, the roof was hand pitched with dormer windows and finished with a charcoal slate tile.

On the lower level the home includes a large living / dining area featuring polished concrete floors with hydronic floor heating, a very smart and stylish custom-made kitchen, master bedroom with a large ensuite, serviceable laundry / powder room and spacious study.

The double garage offers internal access to the home adjacent to the main front door. The compact outdoor entertainment area at the rear of the home, accessible from the dining area also features a servery window from the kitchen. The front of the home features an enclosed tiled patio with a small low maintenance garden area.

The second level of the home is accessible by either the internal hand-make timber / carpeted staircase or elevator and consists of two double sized bedrooms and family room with fully operational kitchenette. All these upstairs rooms feature dormer windows. The full-size bathroom contains both bath and separate shower, a separate toilet and adjacent powder room.

In all, we were able to provide our client with a “home away from home” that fit exactly to their needs - plenty of space for family and to entertain friends, and a low maintenance yard.
